Tom Hogan was the Oracle employee that founded Oracle Magazine. Apparently Tom wrote most of the first few issues himself as they didn't have full-time staff for the first couple of years.

Tom founded Hogan Communications, a high-tech marketing company in 1983. In 1986 he joined Oracle Corporation as the company's first Creative Director. He wrote Oracle's first three annual reports, founded Oracle Magazine, and managed all of the Marketing Communications departments, from advertising and direct marketing to seminars and user programs. Upon leaving Oracle in 1993, he worked as VP of Corporate Marketing for companies like Bay Networks, VitalSigns Software, and Lucent.
