I am trying to run an export against a STANDY BY DATABASE.

The steps i have already taken are,
I opened the standy in a READONLY

Then when i run my export, it gives me an error saying giving me an error saying,

EXP-00008: ORACLE error 25153 encountered
ORA-25153: Temporary Tablespace is Empty
EXP-00000: Export terminated unsuccessfully

what is the work around this? I have never worked with standby databases until today.

I cannot create a temporary tablespace because the database in an read only mode.

What are my options here?

Thank you!

Have you actually tried to add a tempfile once in read only mode?

You could try to increase the size of your sort_area_size or use direct=n.
