Intelligent Agent was created for the Oracle Management Server (OMS), but any attempt to run agentctl statements just causes the command prompt to disappear ("agentctl status agent", for example). Intelligent Agent is cited as necessary for a database to be prepared to be Primary in a DG environment, and it does appear that root.sh was run (dbsnmp and dbssnmpwd are both being run from the OMS ORACLE_HOME/bin directory). The Primary Database does NOT have the Intelligent Agent running.

Ever seen this? Thanks,

Mike

Nobody knows, or there are too many possible issues. No problem -- moving on.
