hi,
i want to create a password file for standby database thru oradim utility on win NT.
my initstandby.ora file has this path
d:oracleadminoraclepfileinitstandby.ora
now should i write the whole path like this in the pfile clause or else how should i write????
i am not able to start my standby instance as it gives error
cannot open parameter file

& i am sure there is something wrong in how i am defining the path in the pfile clause...

thanks a lot!!!!!!!!!

Karen, are you specifying what pfile to use when you try and start the instance, if not have you got a link from ORACLE_HOME/dbs to where you pfile is.
