i had a lookup in my etl package that worked with ms sql but won't work with oracle 8i.

SELECT COMPANY_CODE_ID
FROM COMPANY_CODE
WHERE COMPANY_CODE_DESC = ?

i get this message
"the provider cannot derive parameter info and setparameter info has not been called"

how do i get it to work with oracle?

Hi,
Are you running this query from SQLPLUS or any frontend tool?.
