How do I import data from an excel spreadsheet into an Oracle table?
Can anybody elaborate me in detail,

you can do it using sqlloader.
Save the excel spreadsheet as a csv file.

Write a control file (.ctl) explaining the field positions using ',' as the delimiter.

If you are working on unix, just type in sqlldr
which will tell you the parameters for the sqlloader command.
