I need to find out the way by which I am able to change the default environment settings everytime whenever I go into sql plus. I hope the commands can be given in glogin.sql. I tried in the server, it is working fine where as when I tried the same in client side, it is not working. I want to increase the default width to display the number from 9 chars to my own (25) chars.

Can u anybody clarify my doubt?

Thanks
Srini

I find myself for the above mentioned question.

That is we can set the enviromental setting commands in login.sql or glogin.sql which will be in \orant\dbs or \orant\plus80 directory.

This will get activated whenever we go into sqlplus.

Thanks
