I am trying to run a query using dblink between two database . the query fetches about 26000 rows and runs fine in about 6 min wen run from sqlplus, Once used in a program it fetches about 15000 rows and bounces with ORA 00600.

I presume you know that 00600 is a generic code output when something in the dbms goes wrong internally. I'm curious as to what version and os you are using. I have recently run several much larger queries between various dbs using dblinks without a problem but this i on 8.1.5 on unix using stored procedures.
