dear gurus,
tell me answer of following query.
How to find difference between the lenths of the largest "ename" & its next largest val. Ref . emp table
e.g. if max(length("john")) - length("tom")

select max(D.X) -max(length(a.ename)) as b from emp a, ( select max(length(ename)) as X from emp) D
where length(a.ename)
though there are some more simpler Queries I could figure out this one only at this point...
try to make it simpler
