Try using CHR(13) as the character to be searched in the INSTR builtin.

Amit,

The New Line character is CHR(10);

IF U run this query
"Select 'abc'||chr(10)||'def' from dual"
U will get in two lines like

abc
def

So search for chr(10) in INSTR.

Thanks

Dhirendra
