I am Installing oracle8i on Intel Sun Solaris 2.8.
I am getting the following error

When I run the Installer I get the following message
Initializing Java Virtual Machine from
../stage/Components/oracle/swd/jre/1.1.7/1/DataFiles/Expanded/jre//solaris/bin/jre.

Please wait...
Bus Error

Or sometime

Initializing Java Virtual Machine from
../stage/Components/oracle/swd/jre/1.1.7/1/DataFiles/Expanded/jre//solaris/bin/jre.

Please wait...
could not run Java VM

Could it be that you burned it in MS-JOLIET fmt ?

try the ISO-9600CD I or II (not multisession, DAO)
